A one-piece is sized by four numbers where a bikini is sized by one or two, and the torso is the one that catches people out: a suit that is right at the hip and short from shoulder to crotch pulls at the shoulder all day. The buying page gives the torso for every suit here, and the guide on the front page says how to take it. Once that is right, the suits split by what covers the top: the athletic boyshort and the swim dress carry a built-in bra, the shirred bandeau and the slimming suit a molded cup, the high-cut low-back and the cross-back nothing the card can name, which is honest: they are the two cut for the deck rather than the lane.

The athletic boyshort suit is the one with the ratings, a full-coverage suit with a shelf bra and a leg cut like a short, in colour-block panels as well as solids. The shirred bandeau is strapless by cut with straps you can add and a front that pulls in; the slimming suit does the same with a molded cup and no wire. The high-cut low-back is the cheapest suit on the site and the one with the least inside it, quick-dry and cut high on the leg. The two ruched suits on the plus run, a tummy-control cut and a plunge neck, are cut L+ and up. The swim dress is a suit with a skirt over shorts, an underwire and a built-in bra, for anyone who wants cover to the thigh.

Every colourway here is priced on its own; the Ocean Blues edit keeps the figures current and the till is what decides.

Questions about Ocean Blues One-Piece Swimsuits

One letter for the whole body

Which Ocean Blues one-piece holds you best for laps?

The athletic boyshort suit: a built-in bra, full coverage, a boyleg that does not ride, and more ratings than any other one-piece in the Ocean Blues collection. The long-sleeve zip suits on the rash guard page do the same job with sleeves. The shirred bandeau and the high-cut low-back are cut for the pool deck more than the lane.

How do you measure your torso for an Ocean Blues one-piece?

From the top of one shoulder, straight down the front, between the legs and back up to the same shoulder, tape snug but not tight. Hold that number against the torso length on the chart for the suit, and if you are between two letters on torso alone, take the larger: a suit that is short in the torso is the one that gets returned.

Does an Ocean Blues one-piece come on the plus run?

Two do, both ruched: a tummy-control one-piece with a molded cup and a plunge-neck one-piece with a hook closure, cut from L+ up. The rest of the page runs S to 3XL on the regular run, and the athletic boyshort suit goes to 3XL. A Large Plus and a 3XL are different garments, and the guide on the front page says how they differ.
