Terms of Use
These terms cover ocean-blues.org. Using the site means reading its figures, holding them against your own tape measure and the water you are dressing for, and following its links. They are written for that use and no other.
What this site is
This is the Ocean Blues swimwear catalogue: bikini tops and bottoms, tankini tops and sets, one-piece swimsuits, board shorts and swim skirts, with the cup, the size run, the coverage and the colourways printed where you can read them before you decide. It is a reference, not a checkout. Our retail partner takes the payment, ships the parcel and handles any return, and the contract of sale is formed there, on their terms.
Figures and photographs
Cups, wires, coverage, sizes, colourways and prices come from our own product data. Prices move; the figure at the till is the one that counts, and where the two disagree the till wins. Photographs show the colourway being sold on a body rather than a styled substitute, and a picture that argues with its caption is pulled rather than captioned around.
Sizes
A size letter describes the garment, not you. The sizes we print are the ones the piece is cut in, across two runs: a regular run from S to 3XL and a plus run from L+ to 4XL+, and a body that wears one letter in the regular run wears a different letter in the plus run. The way to use them is the way the fitting guide on the front page describes: measure under the bust, around the bust, around the hip and, for a one-piece, the torso, hold the numbers against the chart on the buying page, and buy the size that clears your largest measurement.
Sun protection
Where a piece carries a UPF number, that number describes the fabric of that piece as our product data carries it, and only the skin the fabric covers. A UPF rating is not a promise for uncovered skin, for fabric that is wet or stretched thin, or for the parts of a swimsuit that are mesh or cut away. Sunscreen on uncovered skin and the hours you spend in the sun are your decision, and the public health guidance we read on both is linked on the pages that mention UPF.
Fabric and care
Fibre content and care instructions are printed on the label sewn into the garment, as United States rules require, and the label is the document that governs washing. Where a page here names a fibre or says rinse after chlorine, it is repeating what the product data says about that piece or what the rule requires of a label; it is not a promise about how the fabric will behave in your pool.
