Mid-rise means the waistband lands between hip bone and navel, and on this brief a drawstring at each side lets you set it a little higher or lower. The sides are ruched where the string gathers them. Coverage at the back is full. The fabric is thick and lined, with enough stretch that the drawstring is there for fit, not for holding the brief up.
