A twist front is a knot of fabric between the cups, and it is doing two jobs: it gathers the front so that the fabric does not lie flat, and it pulls the cups together so that a molded cup sits where it should. That is why every twist-front piece at Ocean Blues but the halter carries a molded cup, and why the two tankinis say tummy control. The twist-front tankini top is the most-rated tankini in the Ocean Blues lineup and comes in two dozen colourways with straps you can unhook; the wire-free twist tankini is the same idea in a smaller run.

On the bikini shelf the twist comes three ways. The strapless twist top holds by a molded cup and the band alone; the twist-front molded-cup top holds by a deeper molded cup and the band, for a fuller bust; the twist halter ties at the neck with a pad you can take out. The plus-run twist-front top is cut L+ and up with a molded cup. A twist front between two letters goes up, not down, because the knot is fixed and a cup that is small pulls the knot off centre.

Yes, that is what the removable straps are for: unhook them and the molded cup and the band hold the top. Swim with the straps on. The wire-free twist tankini has adjustable straps that stay; the strapless twist bikini top has none to begin with.

Which Ocean Blues twist front top has a wire?
